Real Beauty Sketches

Apart from the fact that the following clip is part of an advertising campaign, I like the approach of comparing one's self-perception to how other people perceive you as a person. I'd love to try this myself to reflect the contrast between the different visual as well as emotional notions.

Actually, it's a pity that this excellent short by director Christopher Hewitt is a commercial. I love his work and this one's not breaking ranks. A composition of great, manifold shots combined to a single, harmonic piece.

Vienna based Motion Design Studio Eat My Dear updates with a brand new showreel including a wide spectrum of work that has been done throughout the last years. I was busy freelancing for them for the better part of the last one and a half years, so parts of the reel is my work. Great stuff! france based Gkaster just released their new April 2010 Reel and i gotta say i really dig it.. it's such a nice piece of cg and compositing work combined with beautiful music by Philippe Gully. go check it out yourself..




furthermore, a couple of days ago Gkaster finished a 130" spot for the new Nike Mercurial football boots. pretty massive cg piece revealing the exclusive features of the shoe. very well done i'd say though the storyline seems a little weird towards the end..
