my friends Markus, Patrick and Simon from Eat My Dear just released their new 2010 Showreel. a 2:36min montage of motion graphics mayhem features older and most recent projects for clients like Red Bull, Austrian Airlines, MTV, Musemsquartier Wien and Universal Music. several versions of the showreel audio created by talented Matthias Müller can be downloaded on their website. great work buddies!!

Nike - Write The Future

the new 3 minutes Nike short film Write The Future features the world's best soccer players in a great story line.. all actions and consequences are depicted in a hilariously exaggerated way. the spot was directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu who also directed excellent movies like Babel, 21 Grams and Amores Perros. enjoy..

Avanty - See the Future

this teaser shows promise for a nice surf flick called 'See the Future' by italian Avanty.tv. unfortunately, their website is in italian only, which is a pity as i really dig their style and would like to learn more about their projects. watch the teaser and some random stills they made, as well as some other films of their expeditions on their website.

i'm not totally sure about the intention of the spot but i have to admit it's pretty teasing..

Protest Girls Bali Trip

just watched this nice little edit by Cirque Belgique's Joris Willems about the girls of Protest Boardwear. all shot by Dries Delputte (check out his pretty interesting profile) and Alexander De Bruycker on location in Bali, Indonesia.

as i'll travel to bali to surf and explore the region soon, i'm already super stoked about being there..

A Day in Paris

seen this one a couple of months ago, directed by Benoit Millot. as i'll head to the OFFF 2010 - International Festival for the Post-Digital Creation Culture - in june together with the guys from Eat My Dear and Onesize, i'm really psyched about seeing Paris again after so many years.. and this flick really makes me looking forward to this great event - cya there!

thank you so much for participating in our initiative and making your blog carbon neutral! Your tree will be planted this month by the Arbor Day Foundation. The scheduled start plant date was Monday, April 19 and the trees will be planted by a contracted crew. The roads are being plowed, all contracts solidified, and twelve shipments of 150,000 seedling each are being assembled. We thank you for the support!

There are still some trees looking for a sponsor. So if you know some people who have a blog or website, pass it on and we'll make their blogs carbon neutral too!

458nm

i stumbled upon this nice short called 458nm by Polynoid from 2006. i liked the pace of the movie and how it evolves over time. great compositing and focus shifting paired with adequate sound design made it a nice start into my day, along with a big hot cup of coffee..
