Life Cycles Trailer

my friend Roman pointed me to this official trailer of Life Cycles - another obviously brilliant bike movie on similar lines as The Collevtive Films. if the trailer lives up to its promise, this flick is going to be thumping. i love the variation in shots, ranging from totally sick tricks to absolutely breathtaking scenery. dolly rides and slow-mo's are by far nothing uncommon in this genre but i think it depends a lot how well it's being executed, yet this trailer sets a damn good example. can't wait to see the movie..

A Skate Regeneration

featuring Kilian Martin, 'A Skate Regeneration' shows a completely alternative approach to skateboarding, much more like an aesthetic skate ballet. incredibly beautiful and stunning moves with a single or multiple boards make this short film totally worth watching. we all know the old school skate style but i've never seen something like this before. check it out!

Directed, Filmed and Edited by Brett Novak
Filmed in Barcelona, Spain (2:02-2:05 in Lloret De Mar, Spain) between October 10-23, 2010 on the Panasonic HVX-200.

Danny MacAskill: Way Back Home

oh my god. Danny MacAskill is back and he goes absolutely NUTS! i was so impressed by his first clip but this one owns it by far. going from Edinburgh to Skye (both UK) by RV, he pulls off his awesome tricks at spots you wouldn't even consider doable. especially his front flip off the castle wall and the building in the end - completely insane! watch it. NOW!

Dark Side of the Lens

found this one quite a while ago. it's dedicated to the guys constantly providing us with incredible surfing footage. they push themselves, trying to capture the beauty of nature and wave-riding out of their very own perspective. the short delivers insight into the life of a photographer, tells us about his motivations and the creative background of their work. a great combination of brilliant shots and an absorbing story. watching it over and over again..

the dark side of the lens - silent workhorses in the surfing world..
